2026: Crewe Hall, Cheshire
Steeped in rich history, Crewe Hall is a Jacobean mansion located near Crewe Green, in Cheshire, England.
With its striking interior, stained glass windows and 26 historic feature rooms, it was one of the county’s largest houses in the 17th century, and was said to have “brought London into Cheshire”.
Set in eight acres in the peaceful Cheshire countryside and originally built in the 17th century, the hotel has gone on to survive a fire, host the military during World War II, and even receive a visit from Her Majesty the Queen in 1955.
2026: Pendley Manor, Hertfordshire
For 2026, Design Soirée arrives at the magnificent Pendley Manor, Hertfordshire – a venue where history and design meet. Dating back to the 11th century, the current Tudor Revival mansion, rebuilt in 1872, showcases striking Jacobean-style architecture, elegant oak-panelled interiors, and period detailing that celebrate craftsmanship and heritage at every turn.
Set within 35 acres of landscaped gardens, Pendley Manor offers a unique sense of grandeur while remaining just 40 minutes from London. Its timeless character, combined with modern luxury, creates an inspiring backdrop for the design and architecture community to connect, collaborate, and celebrate excellence.
2025: Hanbury Manor, Hertfordshire
Design Soirée 2025 took place at the distinguished Hanbury Manor, a former Jacobean manor house set in 200 acres of Hertfordshire parkland. Steeped in history, the estate was originally built in the 17th century and later became a convent school before its transformation into a five-star country hotel. Its heritage architecture—characterised by oak-panelled rooms, grand staircases, and period detailing—provided an atmospheric setting that resonated with our design-led audience.
The venue’s blend of historic elegance and refined modernity offered a fitting stage for a gathering of the design industry’s most influential voices. From the stately meeting rooms to the sweeping ballroom and serene outdoor spaces, Hanbury Manor elevated the experience—ensuring Design Soirée 2025 was both memorable and meaningful.
